The first session of Tbilisi City Council`s sixth convocationt will be held today. According to the law, the first session of the newly elected Council will be opened by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Georgia. Chairman of the City Council and his deputies will be approved today.

Giorgi Tkemaladze will be nominated for the position of the Chairperson, Giorgi Akhvlediani will be First Deputy and Deputies - Marika Darchia and Davit Ujmajuridze.

According to Giorgi Tkemaladze, one of the first issues will be the budget of Tbilisi in 2018 and nomination of e new members of Tbilisi government.

According to Goka Gabashvili, the elected MP of the Tbilisi Sakrebulo from "European Georgia - Movement for Freedom", the opposition will try to raise all initiatives important for Tbilisi, including job opportunities, social issues, improvement of city environment.
