Parliament has not yet expressed confidence to the new cabinet of ministers, but the ministers have started ther first working day in accordance to the Prime Minister"s decree. According to the amendments, 14 out of 18 ministries remain.
Giorgi Gakharia has been appointed as , Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, he will also be the Vice Prime Minister. Dimitri Kumsishvili returned to the Ministry of Economy and Energy which will take up the functions of the Ministry of Energy and Environment.
Minister of Finance is Mamuka Bakhtadze,former head of Georgian Railway. Mikheil Chkhenkeli has replaced Aleksandre Jejelava on the position of Education Minister.
Today Giorgi Mghebrishvili will starthis activty as the head of the Crisis Management Council.
