On behalf of the United States, Ian Kelly reaffirmed strong support for Georgia"s membership in NATO . According to the US ambassador to Georgia, the US remains committed to the Bucharest Summit and continues to assist Georgia until it is accepted. in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

"From the time of the Bucharest summit declaration we support Georgia"s membership in NATO. We believe that Georgia will become a member of NATO. As Vice President Pence said when he was here we will stand with Georgia until it is able to join NATO which means all NATO member to achieve consensus but the U.S. has always been supporting Georgia’s NATO membership, - U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly has remarked.
