"Strasbourg has established once again that Georgia"s current authorities are conducting political persecution against political opponents and Vano Merabishvili is arrested on political grounds," said Salome Samadashvili, deputy chairperson of the National Movement faction.

According to Samadashvili, in response to the decision of the European Court, the government should release Vano Merabishvili.
