According to Bokuchava, the former prime minister maintains the power with the help of State Security.

Giorgi Kandelaki, a member of the Faction "European Georgia - Movement for Freedom" made a statement saying that the government wants to set up control over public institutions.

"The government wants to legitimize the total political control of the state security service, which is carried out on every level of public institutions, including self-governments. The public remembered very well how the representatives of the state security were appointed in different state institutions. The current law on state security envisages this possibility only ininstitutions with high-risk of state security, now it will be possible in all institutions , "- said Giorgi Kandelaki.

Irakli Sesiashvili, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Defense and Security responded to these statements.

"I would like to remind you that the Intelligence Service joins the State Security Service and the Law on Intelligence, if I am not mistaken, Article 8, paragraph 8 sets out this position so that the Intelligence Service can carry out its functions and activities, "said Irakli Sesiashvili.

According to the amendments, the State Security Service staff will work in various executive agencies, as well as in different organizations without the obligation to disclose his belonging to the State Security Service in parallel.
