Nino Lomjaria, nominated for the position of the Public Defender of Georgia, will present her vision to the MPs in the Parliament. Part of the parliamentary majority speaks openly that they will not support her candidacy.

Nukri Kantaria, the member of the Georgian Dream faction, says he will not take responsibility for this issue.
Gedevan Popkhadze, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights and Civil Integration of Parliament made assessment.

"There are two candidates nominated, I can say many things in favor of both, and I personally have a free regime for making a decision. On the committee I voted for Giorgi Popkhadze, because I thought that the committee really had no reason to negatively evaluate his candidacy and he personally earned one vote. At the session I will think again and take many arguments and factors into account before making a decision , "Gedevan Popkhadze said.

As it is known, members of "European Georgia" will not participate in the voting. According to them, the majority have chosen Nino Lomjaria candidacy alone.
