The Parliament of Georgia will consider the amendments scheduled for the 2017 state budget. According to the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, it is planned to increase the current year`s budget by 305 million GEL.

According to the deputy minister of finance, the funds will be spent on the main infrastructure projects and the fight against the Asian stink bug in the remaining one month.

"Georgian Dream" explains that monetary resources have accumulated as a result of unplanned economic growth.

"We have a higher economic growth than it was during the budget planning. High economic growth has given us additional revenues this year. Accordingly, budget tax revenues are increased and expenditure of the budget will also increase, which will mainly be spent on the planned events in 2018, "said Deputy Minister of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze.

The opposition accuses the ruling team of incompetence and expresses criticism for the wrongly planned budget.

"Today"s amendments are aimed at instead of spending 305 million GEL for the benefit of the people at expenditures for the luxury of bureaucracy and ministries. This is the reason why "European Georgia" does not support the budget, "- said Davit Bakradze, the leader of the parliamentary minority.

"National Movement" speaks about manipulation of budget data. According to Roman Gotsiridze, the government has taken money from the old balances, which will further aggravate the macroeconomic situation.
