The co-rapporteurs of the PACE Monitoring Committee call on the Georgian side to create a stronger system of balanceand control of the country"s security services.

In a statement posted on the official website of the organization, it is stated that the government should provide adequate parliamentary oversight and control aganst the background of increased information on the role of security services in the country"s governance.

The co-rapporteurs of the Assembly expressed regret over the postponement of transition to the proportional electoral system in Georgia and reaffirmed the firm support for Georgia"s territorial integrity.
