The demands of the opposition in regard to the 2018 Tbilisi budget are called illogical in the City Hall. According to Vice Mayor of Tbilisi, the draft budget project is tailored to the interests of Tbilisi and allocation of funds demanded by opposition parties at expense of reduced bureaucratic expenditures is impossible.

According to Irakli Khmaladze, it was planned to release up to 2000 employees.

"Opposition has presented social programs worth more than GEL 200 million. That is, a completely illogical plan where we need to find 200 million. The opposition considered the mobilization of such a huge amount of money through the reduction of administrative expenses, which is practically excluded. Our plan is focused on developing the economy of the city, generating of more possibilities, more income for our population, "said Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze.
