British Foreign Minister criticized Russian president for the situation in Ukraine. In an interview to "Sky News" Philip Hammond has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of acting like a "mid-20th century tyrant" over Ukraine.
Mr. Hammond also said that Ukraine’s forces could not defeat Russia’s army on the battlefield and that only a political solution could end the bloodshed.
He held out the prospect that Britain would provide arms for Ukraine, saying only that the UK would not supply weapons “at the moment”.
"Ukrainians can’t beat the Russian army, that"s not a practical proposition. There has to be a political solution.Ukrainians in the Russian armed forces and therefore, the UK"s decision - not to supply weapons to Ukraine, may be revised," - said Philip Hammond.
