Intense Minsk talks enter 14th hour

The leaders of Russia, Germany, France, and Ukraine are continuing their roller coaster talks at the Minsk Palace of Independence. Their attempt to find a solution to the Ukraine crisis has been dragging on for almost 14 hours.
A few minutes ago, it was reported that they might soon sign an agreement . The text of agreement is still unknown.
The talks are based on a 12-point peace deal called the Minsk Protocol, signed here in September but violated almost immediately. The goals of any deal have long been apparent, including a cease-fire, the withdrawal of heavy weapons to create a demilitarized zone and a degree of autonomy for the rebel-controlled regions. But the details, such as where to draw the demilitarized zone, the degree of autonomy and Ukraine’s control of its border with Russia, remained contentious.
The format of negotiations has changed several times during the night. At first, the negotiations started with the participation of the four leaders who were with several foreign ministers later. President Poroshenko had telephone consultations with the General Staff.
