General Gogi Tatukhashvili addressed the president"s administration with a request to pardon Bacho Akhalaia.

The president"s administration has released information about it, saying that Tatukhashvili addressed the President of Georgia with the request to pardonthe war veterans and law enforcement agencies, including Bachana Akhalaia.

According to the President"s Administration, the Administration of the President automatically applied to the Ministry of Corrections and Probation in accordance with the legislation and requested appropriate documentation about 17 people.

"According to the existing legislation, when requested to pardon the President of Georgia,, the President"s Administration is obliged to request the relevant documents from the Ministry of Corrections and Probation.
Besides Gogi Tatukhashvili, the statement was signed by the heads of NGOs and political parties as well as several dozen citizens," the statement of the president"s administration says.
