"Suddenly somebody started screaming on the first floor, someone was thrown on the floor. 10-12wearing the uniforms of the Ukrainian border guards, were trying to seize Saakashvili, they put him in a white "Volkswagon" and took him to an unknown direction, "said the eyewitness.

He also said that such actions indicate that the Ukrainian government will not have
mercy for opponents.

"It was very bad to see how one of the leading politicians , the ex-president and Ukrainian opposition were treated. All this indicates that the current government is not going to treat the opponents normally , this is a big shame, "said the eyewitness.

Mikheil Saakashvili was detained in Ukraine about an hour ago.
