At the meeting with the representatives of the Road Department, the representatives of the Tusheti community once again questioned the construction of the Tusheti alternative road and protested once more against the construction.

Opponents of the project say that if Tusheti alternative road is constructed, the Tusheti Protected Areas will be destroyed, which the state should not allow and local population should take part in the design. They said it would be better if the existing road rehabilitation will be done.
