Police in Kiev have stepped up security measures ahead of Friday’s rally to mark the first anniversary of the Ukrainian Maidan. More than 2000 policemen have been mobilized for the event. After a minute of silence honoring the victims, President Pooshenko will open the shining installation titled "Honor Rays", which is dedicated to the memory of those killed during the revolution one year ago.

On February 22, the dignity rally will be held in Kiev. So far, only seven international delegations have officially confirmed their participation. It is known that among the guests will be the European Council President Donald Tusk and President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.
