A fire broke out in the restaurant "Machakhela" located in Maidan, in Tbilisi late last night. Up to 60 firefighters were working on the spot.

According to the preliminary information, the fire broke out in the part of the building where the warehouse was located, but the reason was unknown.

According to the restaurant director, safety norms were kept in the building. According to one of the versions, the cause of the fires became a ventilation.

For security purposes,electricity and natural gas were temporarily shut down . No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Rescuers timely evacuated citizens from the restaurant .
