The poet Mikheil Tkebuchava has addressed the extreme form of protest and has been on hunger strike for the eighth day. The five-storey house should have been built in Kakhabri settlement in Batumi, where twenty families lived.

The construction started three years ago and has not yet been completed. Founders of the foundation say that the building should be financed by Turkish businessmen on verbal agreement, but the promise was not fulfilled.

In the Turkish consulate, they say that the investment is voluntary and forcing is illegal.
