"I am glad that I am here and it is far more important that they are here" - Dutch ambassador was at the rally idedicated to fight against homophobia

"I am glad that I am here and it is much more important that they are here and we all celebrate the day against homophobia today," the statement was made by Johannes Douma, the Dutch ambassador to Georgia, at the administration of the government where action against homophobia and transphobia was held.

According to the diplomat, it is important that freedom of expression of all human beings is protected.

"The second reason why I came is feeling that security is not protected. It should not be so, people should feel safe and free. I sincerely hope that we will be able to freely celebrate this day together with Georgians, "said Johannes Douma.
