At the Holy Synod session, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II specified the status of Archbishop Shio.

According to the protocol of the meeting, the Metropolitan of Senaki and Chkhorotsku will take the seat of the Patriarchate.

Ilia II has also awarded Archbishop Shio with the right towear a diamond cross on the scuffle.

According to the ruling , the Patriarch Ilia II talked about the "difficult situation in Ukraine" at the Holy Synod yesterday.
