Russian side accused Georgian border guards -Koba Macharashvili and Giorgi Kereselidze of violating the border. The Chief of the Border Police made the first explanation after the release of detainees by Russian militaries.

According to Temur Kekelia, the Georgian side can not confirm whether the Georgian border guards have crossed the border .

"This happened on Georgia-Dagestan border. The road is too close to the border line. They were stopped by Russian border guards in this section , "said Kekelia.

Border guards detained by Russian militaries were taken to Lagodekhi Border Police Division.
