State Security detained Head of the Union of Veterans of Georgian War and Military Forces for bribery

Mikhail Gergauli, the head of the Georgian War and Military Forces Veterans and Warriors Union, was detained for bribery.

The State Security Service reports that the operative-investigative and investigative actions were conducted jointly by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service and the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the State Security Service, the investigation found that Giorgi G. And Michael G. promised the son of the former employee of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia - L.C. to give in permanent use the residential area of the military town settlement in Teavi in exchange for 4000 GEL as a bribe.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of bribery (Article 338, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment from 6 to 9 years).

Investigation is conducted by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the State Security Service.
