NGOs comment on creation of new department at the prosecutor`s office

NGOs welcome the creation of a new department at the prosecutor`s office, but said that the selection criteria of investigators and cases should be restrictively defined.

Eka Gigauri -- executive director of "International Transparency- Georgia"-- stated that a clear criteria should be made available.

The Department of Investigation of Crimes committed during the proceedings from October 1, 2012 was formed in response to received complaints.

Four prosecutor and 10 investigator will examine the cases.
