20-year-old Koka Kobaladze accuses police of  beating him. Interior Minister designate, Giorgi Gakharia answered the questions of the MPs on the above mentioned fact.

According to the Interior Minister designate, the General Inspection has started investigation. According to Giorgi Gakharia, two employees of the Gldani-Nadzaladevi division who were with Koka Kobaladze, their immediate supervisor and the head of Gldani-Nadzaladevi division were dismissed.

"You know that this young man made a statement that he had been visited by police officers and he was physically assaulted. As a result of the work of the General Inspection, the fact was confirmed. We have applied the most severe disciplinary punishment and these two employees, their direct and immediate supervisor and head of the Gldani-Nadzaladevi office of Tbilisi Police, will be dismissed from the Interior Ministry. All the materials obtained by the General Inspection were handed over to the Chief Prosecutor"s Office and the MIA will cooperate fully with the Prosecutor General, if the fact that young Koka Kobaladze indicates is confirmed, "the Interior Minister said.
