"Georgian Dream" will have its own candidate in the presidential election. The statement was made by Kakhi Kaladze who confirmed the fact that the ruling party will nominate a presidential candidate and will not support independent candidate Salome Zourabichvili in the fight for the presidency. The chairman of the parliament said that the party will consider Maia Tskitishvili, the Minister of Infrastructure of Georgia as a presidential candidate.

The political backstage are actively speaking that Bidzina Ivanishvili does not speak about the presidential candidate openly with the members of his team, so it is not ruled out that the ex-PM wil tell the ruling party a few days before the expiration of the deadline that he will participate in the election.

The parliamentary majority will assemble in a political council format this week and compare the positions of the presidential candidate. "Georgian Dream" says they have time to select the candidate until the end of July.
