The Central Election Commission approved the temporary members of the DEC. Out of 174 applicants, the CEC finally selected 72.

The United National Movement (UNM) protested against the election of the commission members. The opposition demanded to postpone the election process.

According to the party members, the staffing of the commission should only be done by individual interviews with all candidates.

Recently, the UNM representative made a statement about the election administration. Davit Kirtadze declares that the timetable of election commission members was not selected by the qualification but on the party signs and the consent of the CSU.
