The Orthodox Church marks Day of Savior`s transfiguration

The Orthodox Church marks the Day of the Savior"s Transfiguration. Transfiguration is one of the 12 greatest holidays.

The solemn liturgy was held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, which was attended by the Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia.

According to the Gospel, on this day in the Mount of Tabor, Jesus Christ has transfigured before three students.

Grapes and fruit are blessed in the temples on the Day of Transfiguration.
