The issue of tightening the text of the report on Georgia raised on the agenda after an independent expert, Nona Michielidze had delivered her report to the European lawmakers, where she had mentioned informal governance, pressure on media and judicial reform.

"The report is more likely written by the secretariat than the Foreign Committee speakers. They know the previous resolutions and rely on these documents. There already are some amendments regarding the case of Rustavi 2 and I have already signed these amendments because the freedom of speech is an absolute right.
