The Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia calls on the government to take responsibility for allowing the realization of marijuana in the hands of the private sector. In this case, Ilia II suggests that the state can no longer control cannabis circulation. As the Patriarch said in sermon at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, it is unacceptable to think of only of economic welfare if there is a danger that this process will harm the public.
"In my opinion, the government should take responsibility and control the situation. The private sector should not get hold of this field. In private sector, we can not control it. Now the question is the elaboration of the legislation. The legislation should say that the government is responsible for this process, " -Patriarch said.
