Representatives of the Prosecutors" Office entered "Palitra Media". The Investigative Service studies documents.
Palitra Media has released a statement about the developments.
" We would like to inform the public that investigators of the Prosecutor"s Office of Georgia entered Colourpack Ltd, a printing house of PalitraMedia, with the motive of investigating case N 074210818803 (unknown case for us) on the 24th September and requested “full legal, accounting, financial and economic documentation (original) covering the period from 01.01.14 to 11.09.18, as well as the correspondence (original) of the printing house of the same period”- a cite from the order.
"PalitraMedia declares: Although we do not understand the necessity or aim of fully seizing the documentation from the company and although we have the right to appeal against this order in the Court of Appeal, we decided to hand the requested documents over to the Prosecutor"s Office without creating any complications, since we are certain of the lawfulness and transparency of our activities as we were during the total inspection of PalitraMedia years ago, under the previous government back in 2011 (that was proved by the inspection results).
At the same time, we would like to declare that all original documents will be handed over to the Prosecutor"s Office only after we make copies of them in the nearest future and after each of them is notarized.
PalitraMedia will closely monitor this process and will provide full information to the public about every new detail of this process in a transparent manner as much as possible."- reads the statement.
