Bacho Akhalaia is not going to apply to Grigol Vashadze with a pardon request. The former defence Minister writes about it on his Facebook page and explains that on the background that he has already served seven years, he is ready to spend another two years in the prison.

"My personal liberty for me is not really important c to hinder the epic political struggles. In 2012 I went to prison myself. Georgian Dream has sentenced me to nine years and I have already served 7 out of it completely unfair. But today, as well as in 2012, in order not to turn my existence into a problem for achieving national goals, I would like to publicly say that I am not going to address Mr Grigol Vashadze with pardon request, " - writes Bacho Akhalaia.

He also notes that the change of power in Georgia is an inevitable reality and he does not want to take any official position even under the new government.
