The questioning of Remik Poghosyan, opposition supporter in Akhalkalaki, lasted until late last night.
The victims does not deny or confirm the fact of the attack with Courier but his family members claim that Poghosian was physically abused by masked men. Later, the government officials threatened him not to talk about the incident. According to the victim"s father, the Georgian Dream"s MP Enzel Mkoyan, his brother and his nephew were directly involved in the attack. The attack on the supporters of the opposition was made after he talked about the corrupt interests of the local majoritarian MP on Sunday PS.
After several hours of interrogation, Remik Poghosyan did not want to speak publicly about the incident. The opposition supporter says he can not recall what happened and why he got with multiple injuries into the hospital after being hit with a blunt subject .
Representatives of the United Opposition were in Akhalkalaki for the whole night. They say that in addition to the members of the ruling party their supporters are being pressured and threatened by the law enforcers forcing victims to give false testimony.
Enzel Mkoyan himself denies the connection with the incident.
Remik Poghosyan is still in the clinic with multiple wounds in the wounds. In the nearest future he will have a forensic medical examination. Investigation is in progress under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
