The event dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the chairperson of the 4th and 5th convocation parliament and former Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania was held in the Parliament of Georgia. A short documentary film was shown at the event.
Rati Amaglobeli handed the special prizes to the winners of the essay competition.
"It is a great honor for us to celebrate this day in the Parliament, to which Zura has dedicated the most important part of his life. I think that it is important for the society to talk not only about the bad and the shortcomings but about the good that has been done over the years , "- said Zurab Zhvania"s wife Nino Kadagidze.
The judge of the Constitutional Court of Georgia Irine Imerlishvili talked about Zurab Zhvania.
"This day is important not only for Zurab Zhvania"s friends but for all of Georgia because Zurab Zhvania has the biggest contribution in the development of independent Georgian Parliament , "said Irine Imerlishvili.
