The Prosecutor General"s Office has released a statement on launching the investigation under Article 164 of the Criminal Code of Georgia into alleged violations committed during the presidential election by the commission members.
"On December 24, the UNM addressed the Prosecutor General"s Office regarding the fact of rigging election by the commission members. After studying the circumstances mentioned in the application, the Prosecutor General"s Office of Georgia started investigation into the offense with the signs set forth in Articles 164 and 164 of the Criminal Code, which means falsification of the election documentation and the intentional falsification of ballot papers, "the statement of the Prosecutor"s Office says.
