" Georgian Democracy Initiative" makes announcement about cases against members of former government

Lawyers of " Georgian Democracy Initiative" (GDI) studied cases of Giorgi Uglava, Vano Merabishvili, Bacho Akhalaia, Tengiz Gunava and former officials of the DEfense Ministry.

The aim of organization was to identify the problems and shortcomings in the process . GDI concluded that in many cases the only purpose of the investigation is to imprison former officials. MEmbers of the organization have doubts about the political motivation.
