Judiciary, freedom of expression, health care and labor rights. These are the violations identified in the report sent to the United Nations by the "Georgia Young Lawyers Association" (GYLA). The document covers the period of 2010-2014.
According to "GYLA", most of the shortcomings were identified in the administration of justice. The report touches upon the situation in prisons, prisoners with life sentence whose cases are not reviewed, as well as cases of ineffective investigation both under the former and current governments.
The report covers journalists` right`s violations in the 2007-2009 period. After reviewing the report, the United Nations will work out recommendations for Georgia.
