Human Rights Defenders put responsibility for the suicide attempt by one of the school pupils in Tbilisi public school on the Ministry of Education.
According to them, similar cases have recently become more frequent, but nothing is done for prevention.
The organizations working on child rights say that teachers should have a different approach to kids, for which they need to be trained with a special program.
"The state agencies did not consider the bullying as a significant issue to develop a vision, an action plan, and in fact they do not recognize that the main responsibility for the bullying is on the professionals and adults who have relationship with children. This should be understood not only by the Ministry of Education, but also by all other agencies concerned. The population should demand that the government fulfill its obligations, "said Ana Arganashvili, representative of" Partnership for Human Rights .
The bullying ended with a suicide attempt at one of the public schools in Tbilisi. The victim tried to commit suicide and drank medicines in the school yard. He sent the farewell SMS to the classmates.
