A special Operation to detain Georgians, living in Barcelona. After nights, spent in the streets, Georgian families found a shelter in the abandoned school.
Eleven individuals were detained in a building, where citizens of Georgia live for more than year.
Up to 300 law enforcers took by storm a shelter of Georgians.

As Spanish media reports during the operation were detained members of criminal gangs who are suspected of robbery of more than 70 apartments in Barcelona and surrounding areas.

Georgians living in Barcelona say that the hunt for immigrant families started after the statement made by the Foreign Minister in Spain.

The statement regarding the large-scale special operation in Barcelona was made at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.

According to the agency, the special operation was carried out by the Spanish Police Department and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and more than 250 law enforcers participated in it.

As a result of the special operation, the Ministry has arrested more than 100 citizens of different countries, including 25 Georgian citizens. However, the Spanish media reports that the number of detainees is not 25, but 11 Georgians.
