There is a confrontation between locals and police in Pankisi Gorge . The population protests against the construction of the HPP. The Department of Special Tasks is on the spot. The locals threw stones at them.
According to the Pankisi people, the authorities cheated them when they arrived in the gorge and promised that negotiations on construction of HPP with various ministries would be held in Tbilisi. As they say, they will notallowed to build the HPP.
"Courier" has taken footage of special equipment on the way to the Pankisi Gorge is used to disperse the demonstration with water jet.
