The Georgian side did not allow the convoy of the bikers coming from Russia to cross the Larsi checkpoint. According to international media, a group of 30 bikers were trying to cross the Georgian border. Reportedly they were going to Greece to participate in the bikers" gathering.
The information is also confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, the agency does not specify whether the so-called " NNight Wolves" were between the detained bikers.
One of the bikersRuslan Leviev, who returned from Larsi, told "Courier" that he and his friends wanted to have vacations in Georgia and they are not linked with Putin"s bikers.
Different information is distributed in Russian media. The bikers, interviewed by them state that they were trying to go to Greece.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that the bikers have returned from the border because they did not prove the purpose of their visit to Georgia properly.
