The employees of the sweets distribution company "Kadeve Georgia" have gone on strike. Employees demand improvement of labor conditions, safe working environment and salaries.
The employees also object to discrimination on trade union grounds. According to them, they are not going to return to work places before their demands are fulfilled.
"Their problem is the overtime work that is not remunerated, low wages, discrimination on trade union grounds. Strike is a constitutional right, these people will not continue working until their rights are not protected, "said Giorgi Diasamidze, chairman of trade union of agriculture, trade and industry of Georgia.
