All participants of the rally, who have been deprived of freedom without proof of individual circumstances, must be released immediately - a statement by Human Rights Watch says.

Giorgi Gogia responds to recent detentions and explains that it is unacceptable that the courts have sentenced them to preliminary detention with general and abstract arguments.

"The European Court of Human Rights explicitly points out that preliminary detention is an extreme measure of preventive measure and should be well-grounded in individual circumstances" - states the representative of an influential organization.
