Bribe as a gift - Tbilisi City Court has made the decision that the former governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Levan Shonia, is guilty for receiving an illegal gift.

"In our municipalities there is unbridled bribery. The court of Murusidze -Ivanishvili said that money as a gift is not the problem. This case is a good example of how the court has collapsed and how our country is gradually acquiring the marks of the Banana Republic in the hands of Ivanishvili," - said one of the leaders of "European Georgia," Giorgi Kandelaki.
“It is clear for everyone that Shonia took a bribe. The only reason he signed a plea bargain, he believes in prosecutor"s office. Shonia feels that Ivanishvili"s government is at the final stage and tries to get benefits,” - said Murtaz Zodelava.
