Man, accused of committing lewd acts against a 5-year-old minor, sent to prison

Gori District Court sentenced a man, accused of committing lewd acts against a 5-year-old minor, to 6 years of imprisonment.

The incident happened in one of the villages of Kaspi Municipality. Man was detained in July.

According to the prosecutor Natia Kikalia, an investigation into this case is underway under paragraph I, Article 141 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving lewd acts committed without violence and knowingly by the offender with a person who has accomplished 16 years of age.

The crime envisages from 5 to 7 years of imprisonment.
