"Resource of dialogue not exhausted" - meeting with de facto regime of Tskhinvali region ended

None of the participants of the meeting has said that no dialogue resource is left, so consultations will continue, - Irakli Antadze, Deputy Director of the Analytical Department of the State Security Service of Georgia, said after the end of the another technical meeting in Ergneti.

According to him, the developments ongoing near Chorchana and the provocative activities taking place there were discussed at the meeting. However, Antadze said that the positions remain unchanged after the meeting.

“There was a demand again to abolish the standard police checkpoint, and we explained once again that the checkpoint was on the territory controlled by the central government. Police forces providing security on the ground may not pose any danger to local population. The issue of provocative actions of the occupation forces near Chorchana was strictly raised and we also assessed yesterday"s incident”, - said Antadze.

He added that the detention of EUMM representatives in the vicinity of the village of Tsnelisi was alarming.

“The only international observer mission in the region has been prevented from carrying out its activities, which is a very alarming fact… It should also be noted that none of the participants of the meeting has said that no dialogue resource is left, so consultations will continue. I cannot confirm the exact date when the next meeting will take place, but we agreed that this meeting will be held in the near future”, - said Antadze.
