American Congressmen Adam Kinzinger and Alex Moon will visit Georgia on November 5-9. According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Congressmen will hold meetings with Georgian Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Defense Minister and Parliamentary Speaker.
The Congressmen will visit Georgia’s occupied line with Tskhinvali region and will become introduced with the current situation firsthand. The guests will take part in the Defense and Security Conference and visit Batumi and Poti ports as well.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Adam Kinzinger is an active supporter of Georgia, its territorial integrity and state sovereignty. He is the co-author of the resolution adopted in support of Georgia by the US Congress in 2019.
Besides, Kissinger actively responds to congressional hearings with a message of support for Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity and condemns Russian military aggression in Georgia. This will be his second visit to Georgia.
Congressman Moon, a member of the House Committee on Financial Services. His special interest is finance and economics, will visit Georgia for the first time.
