The so-called State Security Committee of Tskhinvali released a statement on the detention of Doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili.

According to them, on November 9, Gaprindashvili was detained in the vicinity of the village of Orchosani.
“He is captain of the military medical reserve services of the Armed Forces of Georgia, who took an active part in the events of August 2008 as a military physician.
During the investigations it was established that on the morning of November 9, Gaprindashvili arrived from Tbilisi to the Georgian village of Sakorintlo, bordering South Ossetia, after which he illegally crossed the border. His actions contained signs of a crime. On November 15, the Court elected a preventive measure in the form of a conclusion of V. Gaprindashvili for a period of 2 months. He is provided with a state lawyer”, - reads the statement.
The so-called State Security Committee of Tskhinvali believes that the frequent cases of violation of the so-called state border are associated with post of the Georgian police in the area of ​​the village of Tsnelisi.
