As part of the rehabilitation of Shota Rustaveli Avenue, vehicular traffic has resumed on the section from Tamar Chovelidze Street to Mikheil Javakhishvili Street.

The first stage of rehabilitation work has been carried out in this section, where underground utilities have been fully upgraded.

Water supply, sewerage, gas supply, and stormwater networks were replaced.

Additionally, underground cable channels have already been installed, and the relocation of overhead wires is currently underway.

At present, major infrastructure work is focusing on the sidewalks. A new street lighting network is being set up, and LED lights will be installed upon its completion.

Meanwhile, paving tiles and curbs will be laid on the pedestrian areas.

In the final phase of the project, the top layer of asphalt will be laid on the roadway, appropriate road markings will be applied, traffic lights will be installed, and landscaping works will be completed.

With the start of the academic year, traffic intensity in the capital increases significantly, making the timely reopening of the road particularly crucial. Consequently, the rehabilitation process in this area was accelerated; however, the project works will continue to actively move forward.
