September 11, 2001, will remain one of the gravest and most tragic events in human history, reads the statement, issued by the Embassy of Georgia to the US.

“Today marks 25 years since the tragic events of September 11.

That tragedy left a profound and indelible mark on the memory of both the American people and the international community as a whole.

September 11, 2001, will remain one of the gravest and most tragic events in human history - an event that, at the dawn of the new century, reminded us that even in the face of the most severe adversity, mutual support, solidarity, and unity can endure. Military personnel, firefighters, rescue workers, and ordinary citizens demonstrated extraordinary courage and self-sacrifice by risking their own lives to help others. As a result, September 11 will forever be remembered not only as a day of immense tragedy, but also as a symbol of human dignity, strength, and solidarity.

Nearly three thousand innocent people lost their lives in this unprecedented terrorist attack, leaving their families at an immeasurable loss. We honor the memory of every victim and stand in solidarity with their families as they commemorate their loved ones.
