Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia commented on the resignation of the Director of the Pension Agency, Levan Surguladze.
“Pension reform is a cornerstone of social stability and a long-term, very important reform for the country’s economy. Levan Surguladze, as far as I know, performed his functions quite well in the beginning. This is his personal decision and I cannot comment on his personal decision.
I cannot comment on his personal decision. The agency has different leaders. According to the rules of the agency, he was, in fact, a manager.
The agency has a board and many other executives.
The highly respected man said he wants to quit and I can’t force him to stay. He promised to pray”, - said the Head of the Government.
Director of the Pension Agency Levan Surguladze has already applied for the resignation of the Supervisory Board.
