The Georgian Defense Ministry has responded to the statement of Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili made yesterday while meeting with scientists.  

According to Irakli Garibashvili, Georgian army is strong and has heroic soldiers.

“The Georgian army is strong and we have devoted soldiers. Salome Zourabichvili’s statement is absolutely unacceptable for me. As the Minister of Defence, I want to say that we have soldiers we can be proud of and the government is doing its utmost to have an even more powerful army. I want to tell to the President that Georgian army is strong and has heroic soldiers. I don’t know what the President of Georgia meant, perhaps she needs more explanations for her statement. But as a Minister of Defense, I will do everything to strengthen the Georgian army”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
